Here's a sad before and after - I was googling 1937 Packards and came across this beautiful custom one that I recognized by Jim "Bones" Noteboom. On the same page saw a pic of a burnt mess and realized it was the same car - bummer....
Only positive is that I'm thinking to make a one piece hood top for mine and there was a pic of the hood hinge setup that helps out... note the even more kool use of a Packard V8.

That was a really cool car. Seeing a burnt up rod always churns my stomach.

Does that car have a rumble seat, trunk, and working convertible top?

My 34 the day I brought it home May 2013, and how it looks now. I drove it all last Summer and Fall,...it sat during the Winter,..and from March through May 2014, the transformation happened.

Thanks. It was a 70s build, and about 75% was done well, but the other 25%, they lost their common sense and their tape measure...lol

There's a lot of not so obvious changes that I made,....I'll probably make a build thread and be more detailed in what I did to it.

Thank you. Yes, between that 10 inch channeling, and a 3 inch chop,...my 6'1" body barely fits,...hence the small seat bottom and "no" seat back.

Here's a 'almost finished' picture of my first hotrod, a cut down '50 Ford. Later, I cut 31" out of the frame and threw the floor tin away. I'm the guy driving. This is 1967.

Yes Soltz, it is savable. I have quite a few flathead motors kicking around here, surely some of them will be rebuild-able. The rear-end is still here, still with the blue wheels on it and the same tires. I always wanted to put Dad's old Model T phaeton on that frame but never did. Well, that's still sitting there too.
The excuse that I will use for not doing the restoration is that I have too many other projects. It's not that I'm lazy and scared, much.
