Looks pretty in the pix. The Corvair club might be a good place to peddle it. I'm guessing it is worth about 6500 bucks.

I had a few Corvairs. I'd rather have a bus.

But, if you're going to turn it, it really doesn't matter.

Not sure what this guy is trying to pull, but that's not a '65. It's a '64 and down. Totally different car.

Regardless, tread lightly unless you REALLY like the car. Corvairs are not only problematic vehicles, they have NO resale value whatsoever. They are not an easy sell at any price, which is probably why he is trying to trade it off. People wanting to get rid of them can't give them away, even when they are nice looking. If you really like it and want to keep it forever then go for it, otherwise keep trying to sell your bus. The bus is really cool and I think your price is right. I am sure the right buyer will come along. If you need the cash, don't even THINK about a Corvair...

I think it would be easier to sell the car than the bus.

Check what Corvairs bring and how long they are for sale, then re-evaluate that statement. I've seen it personally.

Besides, look at the car. It looks to be a decent little ride, but this guy is willing to come halfway across the country to maybe get rid of it. Probably says a little something right there.

Like I said, it's a nice car. If that's what you want and you don't plan on getting rid of it then great, otherwise be prepared to be stuck with a ball and chain of epic proportions...

So BED, what's the problem with Corvairs anyway? Besides the whole Nader thing.

Nothing if you like 'em. I'm just saying they are a hard sell. They are one of those cars that just never seem to bring any money. Like I said, if you want it for a keeper that requires some tinkering for the finicky air cooled setup, by all means drive it as much as you can. But if you are looking for something with hopes of selling for a quick buck then don't walk but run the other direction...
