This is only the second one I've been to this season. Even though there's one every other Saturday, it seems like I'm always busy or out of town. Anyway the turn out was a really good. . I thought the 1969 RS SS Z27 convertible pace car was probably the coolest thing there. It was a small block 4 spd. making it one of only a couple hundred ordered that way, or at least that was what the guy said. It was completely original and he said he found it in 1989 on a property south of San Diego.

Ya it's nice. The bed floor lifts up to the rear bags and compressors etc.
Every time he leaves the show he smokes em all the way into 3rd gear with its BBC T400

The supercharger and a big SU Carb. taking it to 70 HP. It was a 1932 model. The guy said it weighed 1200 pounds. Here's a picture I found on the web of the super charger system.

I agree the 40 coupe is very nice. I met the owner in a parking lot a couple years back. He was an older fellow, real nice guy. He told me that when he was in High School it was his dream car that he would of built if he'd had the money. Then later in life when he did have the money he did build it.
