its early days so far, its my first time trying to build a car like this but ever since i seen myt first pic of a ratrod i thought,, i gotta try this! so here goes...hopefully i can load these pics lol

Cracked block!? How could anybody let covertible muscle collect dust for 24 years because she needs a new motor? Didja get it? Are those pictures from your garage? Do you have to be insane to jack a car up that far? Sorry, just curious....

Well,,,, I tell ya,,, It might look a little shaky but it was surprisingly stable without the motor and tyranny in her. When you let the air out of the tires so every thing sits square and solid it worked well. And it don't hurt to have the air lift on the front. The Poor mans hoist.
It worked well for replacing every dam fluid line under the car. I don't work to fast so sitting in comfort takes priority.

It sounds like you thought about what you were doing, it's just that a lot of inexperienced builders could see your post and get the wrong idea and KILL themselves. If I hadn't said anything about the way you had it supported then I would feel negligent and blame myself for a young mind being subjected to unsafe practices. These are my views and do not necessarily reflect the views of this board.

Work safely, think about others who might copy you......

I'll get off my soapbox now.
