Well....it was an abbreviated weekend because of Sandy hanging around to ruin things. On the bright side, I got to spend time with friends in North Carolina and did over a thousand miles in my buddy's hot rod. I have to admit that the time in the truck was inspiration for me to get my butt in gear and get back on my 40 Studebaker and my 54 Studebaker pick up.

Anyway, here are some pics from Saturday...starting with my buddys truck. To ride (and drive some) for 8 plus hours and not have a sore butt or back is a plesant surprise....Like I said...inspiration to get back on mine. (That's our other friends 37 Studebaker in the back ground)

And the last of them.....Prepping for the ride back home my buddy thought it best to try and close off some of the rain access ports. Duct tape over a bunch of holes (and he was cutting a cover to go over the MSD box connection)

And....when your in a pick up and know you'll be running into rain, you have to make the luggage water proof.....

Yes, getting there can be half the fun, when you're in an oldie. Lots of folks there aren't afraid to spend some serious bucks on their cars. You posted a nice cross section of cars. Thanks, Ron.

Thanks for the great pics, some amazing rides and wild engines. What make is that beautiful Hemi powered black 3 window ? Chrysler ??

Thanks guys...just got power back from Sandy's visit.

ZZ....that 3 window is a 33 Plymouth. The headlights are 32 DeSoto's if I remember correctly. It sure was a clean smooth car

It's a 153 inch Chevy...as used in the Chevy II.

Yep. Bill got it. I loved that car from the motorboat gas tank to the Chevy 4 popper backed by a 5 speed
