We do every year. I'm still old-school and wait until after Thanksgiving. Side note about Christmas lights. If you have dogs bring them out to see the lights around town. I've heard a lot about that the past couple years and plan to do it with our 2. Yours look great. Jim

I normally wait till after Thanksgiving also. But Thanksgiving is later this year and I was trying to beat the bad weather. It didn't work hahahaha

My wife is in charge of Christmas decoration (and every other decoration that happens around here) I get to help her do what she thinks is right. Usually, outside decorating was done by the end of Oct, but wouldn't be lit up until Dec 1st (her rule).
The last 4 or 5 years, the amount of outside decorating has dropped way back. This year there won't be any thing outside, I asked, she declined. It doesn't help that we are getting the roof replaced on our house next week, hopefully (hail damage and a leak).

Well, we made it through the roof replacement, and the window replacement. There is still some interior ceiling patching that will need to be done, but we are having a Christmas event at our house on Christmas morning, so the ceiling repair will happen on the 27th.

The tree isn't as crooked as it appears, it is the way I was holding the camera. As you can see my wife already has wrapped presents under the tree. This all has to be gone by 8an on Dec 27th!

Ours is going up tomorrow on my Wife's Birthday. A little behind schedule because Monday she had a full replacement. Nice to at least now being retired and being able to not have to worry about getting people in to help her. Jim
