Along long time ago, There use to be a group of people who thought that if you chopped it, or channeled it, or left off the fenders. GOD FOR BID!!

WOW! I REALLY STARTED A S***T STORM OVER THERE. Thanks for your support, I got out of it what I was hoping, which was some kind of reaction to my build as a whole (good or bad) It seemed that the guys who were most negative about it were the ones who have a fabrication or rod shop. You can tell you hit a nerve when they resort to name calling. I think I held my own thoe. I am going to do it again when I reach the next level on my build.

:D

Good for you! It's your damn truck, do whatever you want. If it wasn't for you building it up, it would still be sitting in a field somewhere rusting away.

Thats the way I look at it anyway - either its rotting away or someone is giving it a second life, even if heavily modified.

As you can tell I visit that site regularly there are a lot of good guys there, but a bunch of jerks too. My thoughts are if you don't like something you see don't look. I get the point that they consider their's to be a traditional site but how do you define traditional. You could have the most trad. car ever built call it a rat rod and they would cucify you. In all honesty I've tried to get them to kick me off the site but they haven't yet. Bustedknuckle you held you're own very well, but don't let me or anyone else tell you what you should build. Good Luck

Bustedknuckle,I get a kick out of people who forget how the older generation grew up. Old cars were restored, Hot Rods were build from what ever could be found, and or fabricated to make work. Seems to me that your truck fits. My dad had hot rods and mild customs in up state N.Y. and was a motor genius be it gas 2 stroke ,4 stroke or diesel, He could make them fly!
Because of this I got to see restored cars, hot rods, motorcycles, and big trucks and got to hear from all of them about their style of vehicle and how they felt about each others vehicles. Most of them just figured if it had a motor it was cool! The restorers were different, they just could not see why the rest had to chop, channel, lower, stretch ,and or change anything. I guess I'll stop rambling.
