Moving forward on the tail lights.
Filled in the metal around the bucket and then Tacked 1/8 inch round rod to the bucket edge for a more finished look.
For some reason I had a bit of a time seeing the rod/weld. Not perfect but it will get me where I need to be.
PS tomorrow. Then on to full [;) [;) [;) [;) [;)on both sides.
I think I just passed mile marker 2 on the welding. :p [ddd
Keep on keeping on.....

I'm ready for spring!

Too cold to spend all day out in the shop welding.

Moving forward.
Laying out the rounded lower corners.
This is another custom mod that has been used for years. No sharp corners. Just round curves that flow.
The only thing is the dodge came with them that way from the factory.:p [ddd
The last pic is from the donor car trunk lid.
So is it really a custom Mod ?????

Don't feel bad for all the cheating you do. You're still a customizer. [cl[cl

Thanks Mac.
I don't feel bad at all. I've been cheating the Grim Reaper for years. :D [ddd [ddd
Grounded today. Still having fake leg issues so back there tomorrow.
On the S-10 front.....
Engine won't turn over...at all.
No worries as this purchase was based on the frame condition only. A running engine would have just been a bonus.

Nothing particularly photo worthy. Just slogging through getting the trunk pan finished.
Re did the area I had to cut out for the light buckets and got them attached to the floor. That stuff isn't going anywhere. :D [;) [;) [;)
Also had a sheet or 18 gauge delivered today so at some point I can get to working on the inner rockers.:D[;) [;) [;)
Frigid cold front moving in an the necessity of a new fake leg(Started the seemingly never ending process yesterday) may curtail progress in the immediate future.
Keep on keeping on......
And keep warm.:)

Snow, cold and windy here, Torchie. The car will be there when the weather breaks and you are whole again.

Yes it will bob. It’s not going anywhere soon.😜
Just got reference. $ 86 and tax for a 4x8 sheet of 18 gauges.
The local shop I got it from dropped it off for me as well. Good people 😎

The work will always be there. And it looks great.
Good luck with the new hardware, that has to be tough.

Thanks POPS.
This leg is probably 4-5 years old now. Stress cracked in the stump receiver as well as not fitting that great anymore. Just like other parts, my legs are getting smaller as I get older.🙀😳😜
The biggest hassle is the multiple trips to both the doctors as well as the techs that build it. Lots of fittings and mock ups. Just like building a car.🤪
All to be done In the dead of winter.😎
