Thanks all.
One of the reasons that I needed to get the car in the middle of the shop.
The body has been sitting crooked on the frame.
I took care of that.
The rocker bottom is dead level right now at 9".
Once I get some weight in the back I'm sure it will drop to the 8-1/2" like the mock up.
I really don't look at custom based on how high or low they are.( Chops or stance.) Just wether or not it all works together and looks right.
To me, this one looks right.
The last 2 pics shows how different things can appear based on the angle you see them from.
The first pic of the rear tire is with me holding the camera and standing up.
The second pic is more of a down low straight on shot.
Keep on keeping on....

Looking good! Now mount that body!
Torchie , every time i see this car it makes me smile , it really just fits !!
keep it up .. cant wait to see the end !
Intake up date.
Looks like the intake on my 318 is a 69 340.

look at the numbers on the block, too. A 340 would be a way cool engine to have. I am guessing you already did that... Ah, the stuff dreams are made of.
Not after more performance dutch.both 340 and 360 heads will drop your compression.
If you`r after better performance I`d use 360 size valves in ported 318 heads.
I`ve owned a bone stock `69 318 Belvedere 3sp manual. 1 barrel Carter. Reliable as heck and burned rubber ,no sweat.
Not after more performance dutch.
Just looking at what may have been done to this motor.
My Aunt that spent her entire working career at Dodge main had a 69 Coronet with a 318 2 barrel in it.
It was a quick car.[ddd
I found the head numbers but can't make out the first digit.
Should be a 7 digit number.

Looks like a 4 to me, looks like the number is 4027593, which according to the link below is 4027593 – 1977-1984, 318 LA-series small-block, 1.78/1.50 valves.
