For a more balanced look I'm thinking about running it out the back dead center of the bumper area with a big (huge) stainless steel semi exhaust pipe with a slight turn down.

that might work. so what is huge? I have seen 12'' before on a semi.

The one at the scrap yard looks to be 12", still kicking it around as what to use but i think it would look cooler centered kinda like the newer sports cars, I would like it to be centered top to bottom & side to side i think.

Well? Not liking the single pipe out the center. How about twin stacks on the right side and emphasize that it's a six? They used to split the exhaust manifolds on chevy sixes all the time.I even have two 2 inch flappers i will send you

that sound good too. there is a million ways to build this rig, but you can only use one idea of each part. Lets see some progress.

really???[S I didnt think that. are there not many rigs out there? scrap metal is getting up there about $230 a ton last time I checked, so I see many good treasures go to the scrap daily. I wish I could just sit down at the scrap yard and buy some of the sweet items I see get scraped before they do.

BUT at that price I have trucks and other items that wont sell for scrap. got a Dodge pick up with a big block and a 88 IH coe three axle tractor truck to name two.

Truck went on a diet Lost 200 pounds & 19 1/2 inches

I cut 19 1/2 inches off the rear frame rails including my bumper, I shortened the bed & added a 3rd brake light. The brake light is an old red light/traffic light. I'll start on the telescoping bed as soon as I find something I'm looking for. Really has nothing to do with the telescoping part but I'm gonna skirt all the way around the bed (lower) and have radius corners on the rear of the bed.
