I built my workbench and got it into position. I haven't anchored it to the wall as I wanted to see how stable it is and to be able to move it if needed. Its built right to the floor since very few things in this life irritate me more than spending hours looking for something that has rolled under the workbench - it won't happen here!!
I found these bench grinder stands on sale at the local Canadian Tire store and picked up a couple. One I modified to fit the belt sander. I think I may buy another one and modify it to get the drill press off the bench as well.
The ceiling fans finally arrived and got installed. I'm going to have to find a way to slow them down more than the fan control does now. At the slowest setting they are still turning to fast and blowing to much air. Don't know it that will be possible but I'll have to look in to it.
And the best part ...
... starting to move in! Still have some shelving to get moved from the house to the shop and a little bit of trim for the windows and doors but that will happen a bit at a time.
It’s been a long, hot day in the shop but totally worth it. I managed to turn a pile of scrap metal into the welding bench I’ve been wanting ever since I built the shop. 72” x 30”.
