I noticed PA41 was kicking around an economical speedster as a DD. Check out this 70mph, 38mpg T that was done in 1933! :D

Aircraft styling and power were big back then. The V twin MC engine was a spin off from the radial aircraft engine. The flat opposed twin like the BMW Boxer was Aircraft inspired too.

I found a Speedster drawing with that approach. I've been around some fabric wing aircraft stuff a little, and Its durable and strong. Just build a electric conduit body and sew a fabric (stitz?) cover and dope it up & It'll shrink to fit--Gotcha a racer.

Heres a Piper Pacer (side by side supercub kinda). And the Speedster.

That mpg is something else. There was a guy and his son in the 70's that built a four barrel carb that got like 45 mpg's. he took his idea and plans to the government ( first mistake ) somehow mysteriously his garage was broken into and all his plans and models were taken. And he stopped his work. Go Figure !
