I'm on a forum with my Senior class from hi school & thinking about the past I remembered a slip-up I had when 1st learning to drive. I didn't have my driver's license yet but my older brother decided to let me get a lil time behind the wheel. Anyway, being very inexperienced, I got nervous & ran a stop sign. As fate would have it... my parents drove by right at that very moment! BUSTED... both my brother & I got in trouble in one fell swoop!:eek::eek:

I was doing a line lock burn out in the lot of a local gas station with my first 66 Nova....immediately after I let out of it, the cops pulled in to "check it out". Imagine my surprise when the smoke cleared enough to see my dad and brother in law parked there. I didn't get a ticket there (because I was on private property), but boy did my butt get chewed out when I got home later that night. My brother in law read me the riot act for doing that "stuff" in the town limits (had I not been on private property he said he would have written me up...just the kind of guy he was), and my dad gave me grief because of wasting the new tires like that (this is the same guy who helped me build the motor in the first place...he used to build race motors for some of the local racers so he knew what went into the motor in the Nova). Personally I think pop was smiling inside, because he used to raise hell like that when he was younger :) I sure do miss that guy!

License expired and i had to take the test again. Waiting to pull out onto the main road a long line of cars kept coming with their turn signals on pulling into the driveway i was waiting to pull out of. After about six cars doing that i started to pull out in front of the seventh also with his turn signal on. Of course he didn't intend to turn and kept coming straight. The inspector in the seat next to me had a panic attack.

So i am old i have lots of stories. I had a '631/2 Ford 390 4 speed with straight pipes. About 2 am i down shifted to 1st coming up to the stopsign to impress my buds in the car. The headlights coming up to the stop from the other direction turned out to be the local Police.
As i got another six dollar excessive noise ticket they said it was the loudest thing they ever heard!

Got lots of 'em, but here's my favorite.

A few years ago we replaced the tires on my son's Mustang. I figgered it was a good idea to burn off the old ones. So, I proceeded to do a hairy two minute burnout that would make John Force jealous. Shortly after I put the car in the garage, the fire department and police came roaring in, and they weren't amused.

I had to do some fast talking and some championship azz-kissing. (The citation for causing a false alarm is BIG). I got off with a couple lectures and a reminder not to perform my antics directly behind my own property.

Oh yeah, I've had plenty and most involve "accidentally" acting stupid in front of the boys in blue! I'm sure I'll grow up soon! Recently had a po-po following me while I was trying to catch up to a new Camero to have a little fun. Made an "illegal" lane change, got pulled over and a kid cop younger than my youngest son chewed me out for 15 minutes. Can't complain too much because he didn't give me a ticket!
