We've been driving the Studebaker a bunch. It began stopping on us yesterday. Turns out the new fuel pump I installed was going out. I put the original back on and it runs great again.

I have a neighbour that swears by new parts (nothing used), but they're not always more reliable.

Glad to hear it was an easy fix.
 
Yeah, the pump didn't quit altogether but was still pumping enough to fill the float bowl at idle. When it stopped I had to crank it back and give it a couple of minutes to have enough gas to go a little farther. I carry an electric pump and the necessary parts to install it but we were not far from home so I made on home.
