I've been flux core welding at home about 15 years. I don't know anything else, and don't find it difficult now.

Same here. I use that stitch method but I jump around to keep warpage and blow through down, especially on thin material. On thick material I just go full out.
I wish my welder had a amperage meter like that. Mine only has two rocker switches, low-high, you can set any combo low-high, low-low, high-high, but you don't know exactly what you're setting to. It does have the variable wire speed though.
