Yep, even the cops around here are running around in some small cars that I don't even recognize. No more Crown Vics might make my 84 Vic a collectors item! I can see it now, some day some Kid will say "WOW, you had an 84 Crown Vic and you let it go! Bet you wish you had it back now."

Yeah, the boys in blue are using Impalas around here. I'd much rather be in a Vic than a Imp in a high speed chase!

Ford wants to use a Taurus Interceptor next.

There's also other cop car plans by other manufacturers. Most notably is the new company Carbon Motors who will exclusively make cruisers designed specifically around patrolman's needs.

Cop cars are SLOW...... not bragging or even saying it was right but when I built my first eclipse I was out late and had a friend in the car who had something the cops wouldn't of liked. We were not breaking the law or anything but when the cop passed in the other lane he flipped on his lights and pullued a u turn, we panic and like a stupid 18 year old hammered it. My car only had 350ish hp but we were on a long road and by time I hit 140 I looked back and seen nothing at all.
I regret that decision still because I could of killed me and my friend both and even the officer in the car but I still think that if he would of been able to keep up I would of gotten what I deserved.
They should drive the new taurus, the turbo one. I do like the mercury marquis(sp?) When they are hotrodded as well.

Up here, Belle Isle has a Smart car as a police "cruiser". not really sure what they are going to use it for, but i have seen it on the road once or twice.
