Let's hope the locating bracket is a mock up piece. The builder shows good quality of work so you would think he would make good material selections.

Okay you comedians. The part itself came from a P-47 Thunderbolt aircraft. In this car, it is used for the choke, ignition, and start functions. The car (Backseat Betty) was built by Hot Rod Chassis and Cycle. Here's a better pic of just the assembly.

Aircraft parts in a rat rod are just too cool! Vintage throttle quadrants are getting really hard to find.

Shouldn't need a Panhard bar,any more than a regular leaf spring rear end.

I think there would be a whole different set of forces on the spring eyes and mounts compared to conventional parelell leafs. Think of pushing sideways on a 2x4 nailed at both ends compared to pushing sideways on one nailed only on one end.

I was thinking the same thing...I couldn't pass it under the NSRA inspection procedure because of the scrub line (or lack there of). I guess if a tire blows you just go skating along until the frame wears away

I'd like to know why he finished off the bottom of his bike with duck tape? He at least could of used black.

I would say that was put on there to protect the paint from chain slap. I doubt this thing get ridden much.
