A couple of years ago I found this Plymouth Sedan among about 20 that were facing a date with the crusher. The wide whites, wire rims, and faded red paint... It was an original rat rod!! Most of these cars were junked years ago but this one had been well hidden and survived up to last year.

I took this picture of it because I really liked the classic lines of the body and then it hit me, how would it look as a coupe? So thanks to somebody on that other site, they photoshopped it for me and you can see the result. Personally, I think it would be a blast to drive with a SBC or even something bigger! :D The rear door seams could be welded up and it would be good to go! Funny how it resembles a Morris Minor after the photoshop.

Opinions or comments anybody???

You know, I thought you did a photoshop of it too Bonehead?? I remember talking to you about it back then. I thought these pictures were lost for good. They were on my old hard drive when my old computer crashed and a buddy retrieved a bunch of pictures and stuff off of it for me the other day. I'm glad to have these and all the other stuff recovered!

The coupe version picture you see is actually a picture I had to take of the car on the computer monitor. Then I had to re-download it into my pictures and then post it. :D The original photo I had was saved in office word for some reason and my computer wouldn't let me copy it into a format recognized by the RRR browser??? Make sense?? I'm still confused too. It turned out pretty clear for being a picture of a picture on the computer don't you think?

On the coupe picture, could somebody please photoshop the rear door edges and that door handle out for me?? I'd like to see it cleaned up and finished. I'd really appreciate it.

Look close at the drivers side window, you can see a profile of somebody at the wheel!!!! Cool!! A haunted rat rod!!!

A disturbing update on the Plymouth!

In my first post I mentioned that this car was destined for the crusher. Well that's not exactly what happened but close. It had a date with a bulldozier instead. The front sheetmetal can be seen at the left side of the pile. The body is just behind it in the pile. There are several others in there too. Two 50's era oval window VW's, a 53 Chevy coupe, a 47 Studebaker truck, and more!!!:mad::mad: Some people are idiots!!!

Before & After!

You won't believe what I found at Pull-A-Part today! I went with a couple of my friends to find a radiator for my buddies 98 Oldsmobile. We were searching through the rows when I looked over a couple of rows and about fainted. My old friend the faded red 52 Plymouth Cambridge Sedan in the previous post was sitting there up on blocks and half stripped. I'm amazed that it escaped mostly intact from the pile of scrap above minus the right front fender which you can barely see laying next to the scrap heap in the previous post. Unfortunately once they get to Pull-A-Part their fate is sealed. :( The crusher awaits for the old girl now finally as they can't resell whole cars. I did manage to scrounge the trunk lid chrome fixture and a couple of toggle switches and a mounting plate from the homemade wooden console though. At least I have something to remember it by. I sure hate that the old owner wouldn't sell it to me a couple of years ago. There was just something about this ugly ass old car that I really liked. :D
