otay all you vintage 'lectrical guru's i need your help.

this is what i have, a 60's ish, 12 gm. generator. and a 4 terminal plus ground lug, 12v regulator, i need some kinda diagram here if poss.

the generator is 2 terminals an F and an A, plus a ground.

the regulator has. an F, then 1,2,3, and a ground lug on back.

please help me wire this thing, thanks dp1

Well if no one else can get you going, you might want to pop the top off the Regulator and take a picture to find out what you have. The easy: F=Field, A=Armature. But 2,3,4 could be anything?
 
Dp1, I'm thinking you have a generator and a alternator voltage regulator.
A voltage regulator for a gm generator should have 3 terminals. B-battery, A-to gen.(armature), F to gen.(field). Not to say you coultn't make a 4 terminal work. But I wouldn't know how. Hope this helps.
