gm wireing????????

Ive always built my own simple wireing harness's. but herd diferant ways to wire the altinator?
Whats the easyest and simplest way to wire my rat rod altinator,useing a stock late 70'sand 80's gm altinator[i have plenty laying around and not going to buy a 1 wire]
Every one seems to do it differantly and i want a simpler explanation .
i will be running an electric fan and lightes and mabie a radio .

Also i would like a simple methode of wireing up a stock typ of eletrice fan or a doublefan setup .useing stuff i can buy from my local auto parts.

A lote of people gripe about my wireing my own harnesss' but i ve not had any problems and ive drove on long trip's with little or no troubles.But i'm kinda confused over the differant ways ive seen the altinators wired up?
I like to keep it as simple as possible so its easy to fix on the road.

I put an '83 GM 10-SI (or whatever they're called) alternator on my Dodge flathead when I converted it to 12 volts (I had one in the garage 'parts pile'). The wiring was very straight-forward. Because they are so commonly used you can find diagrams and information all over the 'net.
