This has to be one of the ugliest early hemis that I've ever seen, but it's mine now. According to the numbers, it's a 1957 392 from a Chrysler 300-C. Believe it or not, this homely looking thing has brand new pistons, rings, bearings, and a brand new Isky cam. I'm going to pull it completely apart, inspect everything, replace some things, clean it up, add some paint and goodies, and install it in my coupe. It's not going to happen soon though, there's lots of parts to obtain and work to do on it first. I'll post updates.

Welcome home!

I was goofing around with it a little bit here. The chrome valve covers are most likely going to stay. The 4X2 setup is actually for a small block Chevy. I just put it on the top to get ideas for potential induction systems.

That engine was probably the best of the early hemi's............boy, are you lucky. :) Big mutha's aren't they??

So, what is it going to propel down the road.........could there be a new hot rod in Gastrick's future???????? Inquiring minds want to know. :D:D

Nice score there, Gastrick. Will look good between the rails of your coupe. Only place it would look better is between the rails of a certain Plymouth coupe I know about. :D:D

Very Nice.......

Very nice, Gastrick. That engine will look awesome in your 32.
Looking forward to the progress photos... '22

In my opinion nothing looks better than 4 or more 2 barrels on a hemi. Not even a blower. Congratulations!

Really great score......and you know what really is so great about it all?
Is you can actually say you have one in the shop:D, especially when there is a great deal of wind at most car hops:rolleyes::eek:!
My hemi might not be as displaced as yours, but at least I have one too:cool:
