The California Kid
Just read a post regarding heart problems. Years ago, while listening to a talk radio program, I heard the following;
It was a health program promoting the benefits of cayenne pepper. A Doctor was talking about the benefits of cayenne pepper. One time, he was giving a lecture to an audience when someone in the crowd had a stroke. He gave the victim a cayenne gelcap, broke it and placed it under his tongue. By the time the paramedics arrived, the patient was on his feet, walking around.
Another story involved a patient who was diagnosed with conjestive heart disease. He couldn't walk from his front door to the mailbox without stopping to rest.The Doctor only gave him a year to live. During one of his rest stops (to the mailbox), his neighbor told him to take cayenne pepper. He told his neighbor to buzz off. After stewing over the neighbors comments, he got out some cayenne pepper, emptied 3 gelcaps and filled them with cayenne pepper.
The next day, he told his sons to shovel the snow off the roof. When they didn't do it, he did it himself. Approximately 3-4 months after starting the cayenne pepper routine, he went to the Doctor for a check-up because he felt so good. The Doctors couldn't find anything wrong with him.
Apparently, the cayenne pepper expands the arteries, increasing blood flow. Strokes are usually caused by a blockage which is why Doctor recommend asprin, to thin the blood. Cayenne expands the arteries allowing the blood to flow around the blockage.
The Doctor said that you can get cayenne pepper with garlic. Garlic breaks up the collesterol and the cayenne expands the arteries to flush it away.
In my late 30's, I had a blockage in my knee and they transplanted a vessel from my heel to my knee. The Doctor wanted me to retire and said my leg will never be the same. I started the cayenne pepper with garlic routine. My cholesterol count dropped 30 points in one month. I also went from squatting 185 lbs to 465 lbs just to show that Doctor he was wrong.
I take the gelcaps twice a day but warning! If you take cayenne pepper with food or take it just before you eat, you will get heartburn like you won't believe. I take it on an empty stomach. You may be different.
A side benefit, my forearms felt like shin splints from curling heavy weights (115 lbs). After using cayenne pepper, the pain went away. I believe it was because of additional blood flow.
Anyway, that's my story. I figured it couldn't hurt.
