Hood scoop

If it is a rear facing scoop like a cowl type, you will probably be ok. Only way to use a front facing scoop without a hole underneath would be with some kind of blockoff plate in the front, sorta like Ford used on some of the Cobra jet style scoops. An open forward facing scoop without anywhere for the air to go is asking for trouble. Eventally it would either rip the scoop off, or warp the hood pulling up on it....
