Hot Rod Dirt Drags

I spent the day at the venue where the Dirt Drags are being held. No racing today, just tech inspections, a free pig roast, and everyone checking out all the machinery. I thought I'd post some of the pics I took today, as I'll be pretty busy tomorrow, staging,racing,staging, racing, etc.

Yeah, it's just for bragging rights and fun. No classes, no trophies. The pairings are sometimes pretty weird.

That's an old roundy-round car those guys found and got running. It's not fast, but they seem to be having a lot of fun.

There aren't many rules, as such. Cars must be pre-63, traditional in appearance, no real rules about drivetrain or tires, etc., but billet aluminum, steam-roller tires, and the like are frowned upon.
