All fluorescent bulbs, straight and curly, have a small amount of mercury in them and should be disposed of carefully. The old T12 straight tube bulbs and magnetic fluorescent ballasts are being phased out. The greatest amount of growth in the industry for the past several years has been with LED fixtures. Beware of the cheap stuff - you get what you pay for in most cases. (FYI: I'm a certified lighting geek - no, really, NCQLP certified...)

So I can assume the $60 per piece flood lamps I bought should be of the guest quality ? :)

Are we ever going to see some light at the end of this tunnel??

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.........there it is!!!!!!!

I know that some specialty type bulbs will still be available, but all of the mainstream T12 blubs are supposed to be off the market per the Energy Policy Act.
I wish could be a Lighting Cop!
I'd be just like Eric Cartman - You will respect my authoritie!
Now turn over that incandescent bulb and nobody will get hurt.

My Lighting Certified (LC) credential was issued by the:
National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions

I can't remember the name of the company, but he was on the news. I think it had something to do with historical homes. He had special permission to make the bulbs for like 10 years. I was just joking about your credentials hope you didn't take offence.
