D@mn kids! my step daughter has autism. She just got a brand new bike. One block from the house she is talking to some teens she doesnt know (she's 13) and they tell her to go into the house they are at. Turns out it isnt their house and when she comes out, the bike is gone as are the kids. Is it illegal to shoot kids?

Depends on where you live and if they're in season - may require a special license or tag from game and fish dept. You were talking about mountain goat kids, right?

In all seriousness, I don't blame you for wanting to get back at them for taking advantage of your step daughter. They need to be caught and taught a lesson. If they were turned in to the authorities they might face additional trouble for robbing an at risk child. Might be worth looking into.

get a rope?

talk to the parents, if they are stand up folks, they should do something, and yes defiantly talk to the cops.

went thru the take it ''couse l want stage'' with mine, couple weeks in juvie did him wonders.

Later

still, report it, the little brats may be ripping stuff all over town, enough police reports and one more, if others are reporting it, will show a pattern if they get caught. a pattern of theft is a good thing to show the judge. can mean the difference between a slap on the wrist and some real time off the street cooling their heels.

That is really low ! That is like those two teenage girls who stole the money from the little girl selling Girl Scout cookies. They thought nothing of it and were bragging on camera, until the cops got involved.

I agree that you should report it anyway, in case the bike turns up somewhere.

Take a drive with the daughter, when you find the kids, take the bike back..... Then take his shoes and pants, make them take a walk of shame home in front of your car. When he gets there tell the parents why you made him do it. This way the bully gets bullied and the lesson is learned.

And if they refuse to give up the shoes/ pants tell them ok you'll have them tossed in jail for theft....

Call your local TV station. They probably have some of those reporters that specialize in cases like that. And call your PD. The attention that the TV puts on it might be enough to get somebody to rat out the kids. Then let the PD take care of them. May not get more than a slap on the wrist, but it will start a juvie record on them and just might scare them straight.....

Usually when juvie happens the kids can't get out of this rut. Then they are judged by the world as a bad person for ever and wind up in and out of jail all the time. I was never in it but had the bad kid label for getting arrested for stupid stuff from 17- about 24 I have a stack of tickets from the cops over the years due to them labeling me.

This is an excellent idea. Maybe offer a small reward. It would be worth it to teach them a lesson.

Juvi was the best thing for me. Nearly a year in. I had the opportunity to get out early but messed up and stayed the whole term. At first I didn't care, caused trouble inside just to be separated so I could be on my own. By the end of it though, it made me realize real quick I was on the wrong path. Don't get me wrong, I still drink too much, smoke too many cigarettes and party a bit too hard...but am a little more responsible with it. I use my hands to make money now...can't risk breaking them on peoples faces or on walls.

but back to the point of the post. That's awful what happened to your step daughter. Bamamav has a great idea...take it to the media. Hope things improve

Truly a shame Rev...hope you get her bike back...I find a lot of parents do care about their kids and a talk might be the answer.
