I used a block of wood and an anvil to the entire piece. The horns are made in two halves and then welded together. The block of wood is a 12x12x about 38 inches high, with a bowl burned out of the middle of the end grain amd a 45 degree notch cut across the edge.
 
New bench for the local feed store, powdercoated in a great red.

A person has to spend some serious one on one time with their welder to fully appreciate the amount of work involved in that gate.. very nice work

Thanks Tim, and everybody else too. Yes the gate has a lot of work in it, curving the 3x2, and building both river pieces from sheet metal are just the start. There is alot of work in many of the things I do. More to follow.
 
This is exactly how I feel some days :cool: I absolutely love all of your stuff. I wish I had 1/4 of your creativity. Nice stuff, keep the pictures coming.
