Curious: how'd you do the wings on the eagle? Looks like serious compound curves.

It is something I came up with on another project. It is called a helix curve.

So I went overboard and built a machine to help out with that. It does all the work, all I have to do is stop it.

I'm guessing they are already sold?

The show was great. I was pretty worried with the economy that I wouldn't sell any of the pieces I brought, but I did okay. Plus I learned alot about the show and how it all works.

Hey bone head, im trying to stay with the steal look, is there anything i can do so that the bare metal doesn't rust? when your skulls are made how do u make them not rust?

You can oil, wax, or clear coat, with any number of things.

wax? crazy i dont want to use clear coat for fear of it yellowing or chipping, what kind of wax or oil? i found something called briggs stuff?

Any wax, from beeswax to turtle wax. Almost any oil. WD40 to 40 weight. The thing to remember is it has to be re applied.

Cool idea. This one is not that heavy. 5/16 bolt on the back.

I just went thru this entire thread today and I am amazed at the caliber of artwork you put out! I only wish I could squeeze enough money out of my wife to get one of your shift knobs! LOL!I have been trying to start in the metal art stuff as wellbut havent been having much luck, plus I only have a small one car garage to work out of and it's about 20 miles from where I live so I dont get over there very often! =(
