So curious about what kind of body if any you go with.
Very cool!

Hard to imagine at this point, but it will be a T bucket style body.

Nice work [cl

Billy, homemade what else [S

That's how I roll....:D build to fit

Almost a shame to see such a fine chassis get an electric motor! Needs a ground pounder...maybe a HD...:D

Ya, I know, but I have to keep in mind where it will be used - tooling around a wrinkle ranch with a 10MPH speed limit..... but then rules were made to be broken [ddd:D

DUDE... how many people do you have working for you?!? [ddd:eek::eek:[ddd

BoB

I wish I had helpers! - I was thinking it's really dragging on, most days I can only get a couple hours to work on it.
Made some more progress on the body framework - the shape is starting to emerge. Almost time for tin work, starting with the seat base.

Got some tin work done, made the seat base, front toe board panel and cut a piece of 3/4" plywood for the main floor. It makes a nice solid floor and eliminates the need for a bunch of steel structure to support a metal floor.

Made good progress today on the cowl. Welded in the small front firewall piece and made and installed both cowl sides and the top piece. I rolled in some reveal beads that will continue onto other panels of the body to give it more character. Some finessing of the weld seams still needed, then I can weld in the toeboard panel.

I went thru the build pages again but didn't see it mentioned. What rack are you using for steering ZZ?

The steering rack is the stock Club Car golf cart rack, neat little unit. Though I made my own axle, trailing arms and panhard bar, all the other front end components are just modified golf cart parts, even the ends for the panhard bar were whittled off the original front end.

Did some more tin bending today, got both quarter panels made and tacked on. The body is sitting a bit high in these pics, I need to trim an inch off the back corners where they touch the frame.

I made and installed the rear body panel and welded up all the panel edges. Also got the rocker panel pieces made and welded in - I added rounded corners to the bottom of the door frames to give it a little more 'Model T' look, also gives a bit more strength to the door post since they are only 1x1" tube.
Created a pattern for the grille shell, loosely styled after a 28-29 Model A .

looking sweet! Are you going to put a hood on it or maybe make a little sheet metal engine to go up front?

Grillin' time

looking sweet! Are you going to put a hood on it or maybe make a little sheet metal engine to go up front?

Yes, it will get a hood, no fake engine, it would be too tempting to swap it for the real thing....

Step by step grille shell fab...
-Transferred pattern to steel and rolled the outline on the bead roller
-Cut out the front piece
-Made the outside frame with a rolled flange to meet the hood and sides
-Tacked it all together
-Welded it all up on the inside - less sanding on the face to finish it and allows me to sand the joints down without fear of seeing daylight thru the seams
-Sanded down
-Installed a piece of stainless screen, machine screws welded to the back to
retain it
-All mounted up
