I like the early Who. I get it why he smashed up the 1st one. After that, it was kind of a clown move.

I always wondered, before I read the link, if it wasn't so kind of version of Jerry Lee Lewis setting his piano on fire on stage. [S

They actually sent roadies out to pawn shops to find cheap guitars for him to smash. But those 60s Stratocasters are pretty valuable today.
