Here is a crazy midget track, Nutley Velodrome.
I just ordered a book on this one, looking forward to the read.
The track was a wooden bowl, built originally as a bicycle velodrome.
I’ve seen it listed as a fifth and a seventh of a mile in length, but with
lap times in the eight second range..... We will see what the book says.
Nutley was said to be the most terrifying track ever built, the banking was
45 degrees, too steep for a man to walk up!
Nutley was open for auto racing for only two years, 1938 and 1939.
