Thanks guys!!
Killer stack of dimes on the welding! [cl [
Good mod on the headlights. I'll be doing something similar for my '30- courtesy of the '96 donor truck I had. ...and remembering to write it down!!!
Thanks!!
I have done this do all of my old headlights. Makes a huge difference!!! Its always fun keeping track of wherenall your donor parts come from!!
Okay- you've got reflectors which mine (with 9" lenses) don't have. Have you ever done the big buckets with no reflectors? Differences? Conversation with a friend yesterday rolled around to wondering if placement in the bucket (or even size of the bulb) was critical to how it might throw the light. [S
My original thinking was simply fabing up a bracket, using bulbs from a '96 Chevy donor truck, and attaching with some JB weld. Appreciate your input cuzz this will be a first time for me.
What do you mean, no reflectors? Just having the light in the headlight bucket? That won't work. You need the reflector to direct the light forward.
Yeah, you will need something to reflect and help project the light out of the housing. Im concerned about these cause they arent a mirrored finish anymore. We will see!

It just dawned on me... would chrome spray paint bring back enough of the mirror finish to help out? [S

That won`t help a lot. I vote for a roll bar with a bunch of poacher lights to back up the dummy chrome paint head lights, so everyone can see where you`re going

I can just put some led light bars on it!!
Stainless steel bowl would be better than chrome paint, dog dish is about the right size
