I finally got my new project this weekend. The cab is in real good shape no rust issues and it still has the factory gauges in it. Real solid floor structure. There are some dents and hole drilled in the cab from years of use.

The frame is real nice with no rust issues. There is a chassis engineering rear leaf spring kit with a nova rear under the rear of the frame. A Chassis Engineering Transmission mount kit installed in the frame and a Chassis engineering Drop axle kit that has to be installed yet. Spindles steering arms and 1940 ford backing plates drums and hubs that are redrilled for the 5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern. A nice wishbone that has not been cut yet.

Other parts included. The hood that is real nice with just surface rust with the emblems still attached. A 1935 Grille with some minor issues.

I am not sure if I am going to use this chassis or the 1939 Pro street chassis that I have setting in the barn. Right now I am planing on going fenderless and flat black with a small block Ford, C4 and a Ford 9 inch rear. Not sure if I am going with or with out the hood.

question: are you leaving the front axle in the stock location or are you going to push it forward a little? Reason I ask is that I have a 35 and this was the first year that ford started putting the axle back more under the engine. Looks like agood start![P

I am thinking of going with spring behind the axle. That should move it forward about 6 inches. An should give me more room to fit the Ford engine.

Started working on it today. Got the rear out of it. Started stripping out the cab. All the trim pieces are in the cab. The front windows regular still works. all the gauges and head light switch, heater switch and wiper switch are still in the cab. Even the glove box liner, Fire wall insulation, and the cardboard door panels are still in it.

All the screws and bolts are going out with out any issues. The only issue I found with the cab so far is a stress crack in the middle floor brace.

I want to chop it but my girl friend said not to. She said if I chop it I will have it done for next year.

As for the hood I'm not sure.

Broke the glass on the speedo today.

Wow it looks like you scored with that truck. Looks nice and solid. I have a
'35 and mine has no floor or rockers. Any chance you could take a couple pictures of the rocker maybe one from the inside and one from the outside just so I can see if I can fab them or if I'm better off buying them? I would just chop the bottom off straight across but I love that curving bottom. Oh, by the way, I didn't mean to steal your thread! But you know I'll be following this one!

I think you would be better off buying the the outer section of the rockers. The inside looks like it jest a 90% bend. I can get pictures next time I'm working on it. Right now I got to put some time on the bikes and Rambler.

When the guy delivered the truck he forgot to bring the title. I got the title today in the mail and this thing is neat. It is the original title from 1936. It is dated 11-13-36 and had a lean against it for $520.00 which was signed off of from the bank. I hate to us this title, it would look good being put in a frame and showed with the truck.

The truck was owner by a lady.

I guess now I know which year the truck is. 1936

Great find! Anything in that good a condition would be nearly unheard of in my part of the world. And if by chance one did appear, the price would be something that only Jay Leno would afford---------
