My dentists car. Always thought this was cool. He drove it from NY to SF in 1974 (and again in 1999) - golden anniversary of when Henry Ford did the same with the 'same' car. Actually he says there was more than 1 10millionth car made with identical serial #'s, so he is not 100% certain this is the one Henry drove, but research has been done and it is recognized as the actual.

He has several 3'x4' pictures in his office of the original 1974 newspaper photos, but I couldn't find any on the net. I think these are from the 1999 trip.

Very Cool....

That is a cool story and piece of history, thanks for sharing it Sam.
I still enjoy the stock "T"s and love hearing about them and their adventures.
I still have my stock 1920 model TT truck :D '22

Well, he's told me a lot of stories since I have spent WAY to much time in the chair. Not sure how he tracked down that particular car (he has several Model Ts and parts). I think it was a wreck when he found it. Seems I recall it took about 2-3 months to cross America with many, many unplanned stops (mostly tires I think). I'm surprised I can't find more on the net about it. Wish I could remember more about it.

He also told me a few stories like about how he buried the old drill into a young girls tongue - twice. And how he was about to work on a guys tooth in the morning and fell over drunk - they decided to wait he said. He's about 70-75 yrs old now and quite an interesting man - ex-Army dentist, Model T collector, Dixieland jazz player, missionary....all around good guy.
