he has had it since 1975, got it completed and then due to some bad luck it sat outside for 15 years so now that life is better, we are going to redo it. it will be all ford, 351 Cleveland, C6 tranny and 9 inch rearend.

and yes, the funky 197O Funky fender flares are going bye-bye and he has a really cool louvered hood for it.

the rust factor is very minimal and it's arrow straight, the grill and all the parts are in the trunk or at his house,

cool car, glad l can help save it.

I had a 39 Deluxe coupe back around the same time. Teardrop tailights instead of the chevrons on the 40
It had a late 60's lincoln motor in it.
Great looking cars and even better that you are able to help bring it back.
Torchie.

help

it's nice he asked me and my welder/fabricater friend to help.

it's not like tony and l don't have anything anything else to work on around here:rolleyes:\\\\

That is a really cool project car for sure!
I'm looking forward to seeing you guys rebuild it!

Looks like perhaps a trip to the blast shop is in order, but would be worth it to get it back to how nice it looks like it was before the outdoor adventures...

AWESOME!!! I hope you do a build thread so we can follow it. Those flares are a perfect example why I'm so dead set against trends or fads. Just lucky it didn't get quad stacked rectangular headlights, lol.
