A little more progress...

Well, the wife and child are gone for the weekend, so daddy gets to play at the shop.

Started wiring the dash.....

Speaking of the dash, it sorta turned out like a 32 dash, but it's homemade

Here's a blower pulley bracket I made...

Hopefully my fuse block comes in tomorrow at NAPA, so I can continue wiring the car. I chose to wire it from scratch, because it should be a very simple system............ and I'm just about broke.......so I can't afford a premade harness right now

Combo shock and headlight mounts, made from 1/4" plate for the shock mount and 1/8" strap for the headlight mount.

And a shot of the trunk area, gas tank mounted, with the fuel pump under it, and battery box on cross member

Yep, they work well for mock up, they were the right length and all. I may give them a try, if they don't work out, I'll get some regular passenger car shocks.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict an "it runs" or an "it blew up" thread really soon. I stabbed the distributer tonight, put the power to it and got spark while turning the engine over. The fuel system is plumbed, I just need to wire up the fuel pump. I still need to find some radiator hoses, and block off the heat fittings (for now), plumb the engine gauges and wire up the fan, but I'm getting close.

Of course, once it starts, I'll need to finish plumbing and bleeding the brakes, finish up the welding on the chop, and the windshield frame......get some glass in the windshield frame...........................and so on..........
