My version of a 53' chevy p/u

Well I about have enough parts rounded up to start another project. I had a cab given to me years ago, I bought a S10 for a $100.00 and I picked up a complete front clip at the swap meet last weekend for a hundred so its time to clean off some floor space.LOL I have a single pic of a truck that I liked and is gonna be my inspiration. Im gonna put my 53 on a S10 frame and run fenders but its gonna be low and no running boards and a chop, so here a few pics of the parts and what my intentions are but will make them my own.

sounds like a solid plan.... I enjoyed your first build and I am sure this one will be great too.. but definitely agree with dragfink.. sectioned.. pretty heavy section.. maybe like 4-6"

Well my sons home from college so I had a little help. We did some rough in on the truck trying to get the sheetmetal to lay on the frame the way we want it to. May have a problem with the tire rubbing the top of the fender before I get it as low as I want it.May have to reach a happy medium of tire size and amount of drop to get the look Im after.

I like these trucks sectioned forward of the doors only. ....raise the front fenders and take a slice out of the hood.

A slice out of the doors hurts the overall proportions in my opinion.

You wouldnt happen to have a pic of this mod? We was studying a way to get more room but not make it look goofy.Was thinking of a half hood or somthing and try to raise the fenders but didnt want to throw the rear out of proportion.

Well haven't done much, but my son was home this weekend so we did a little frame fit on the '53 and get it ready for body mounts.Everything is just roughed in for now. Ill clean all the cuts and welds later.I just about have it hacked enough for the bottom of the door to scrape which is what im shooting for.
