I'm thinking of starting a new build and got a line on a 29 Chevy 3 window coupe.
Problem is, I know what I like to look at in a model A but can't imagine what a Chevy would like the same way.
I'm always impressed by how fast you guy's post pictures. Would ya mind posting some of 29 Chevy's? I like z'ed frames, low and fender-less. The stuff Sinner builds comes to mind.

Thanks!!

29....Chevy....3 window....coupe?....Not the easiest thing to find!

Here's one...

Ya, I saw that one........I'm not sure....where the rear deck meets the back looks like a Model T to me....I'm not sure if I like it.

Early Chevrolets can be very cool, but know that the bodies were built on a complete wood skeleton. This can be very problematic when rebuilding them as you have to deal with wood repair or replacing with steel. Not that it can't be done, but keep all the work in mind when buying it.

And when I say they can be cool, they can be VERY cool. This is a early GMC powered '32 Chevy on deuce rails with a ton of mods, but you get the idea. After I looked at this car for 4 hours I had to go see a doctor... :D

Thanks Blue Eye,
That is extremely cool and looks different than a 29. In fact, I'm starting to get the impression that Chevy was a few years behind the Ford curve and perhaps copying them. I'm having a hard time finding pics. of chopped 29's.
I did see a 35 that was very cool though. As far as the skeleton goes it would be no problem. Steel tubing is one of my favorite materials to work with.

Actually the wider cowling with integrated beltline on the '29 Chevy was more similar to the '30-'31 Ford, so I would say they were a little ahead in that respect. Anywho, the '29 is pretty close to the '32 in design and appearance, so the pics I posted should be pretty good referance. Here is a stock '29 for comparison...

Thanks D.E.D. I see what you mean and I guess I was mixed up. That Black 32 is currently on ebay with a Buy it now of 75k.....wow!!
When I look at the 32 and the 29 side by side, the 32 looks like it was also sectioned and the doors were stretched. I'm thinking if I got the 29 I found and tried to do that, I might get over my fear of sheet metal.

Pulled the trigger today

on the 29 Chevy coupe. Its about 98% complete and 100% disassembled with very little rust. It came with 2 hoods, 2 grill shells and 2 full sets of fenders front and rear. Best of all, a title and a Colorado VIN tag on one of the A pillar.[cl
I'll be unloading it tomorrow and taking pictures to start a build thread soon.

Thanks for all the great info and advise, I love the smell of a new project! [S
