Hey guys,
This is my first build. I'm 20 years old and live in good ole' Wyoming. I started out with a 1937 Chevrolet 1 1/2 pickup. My plan is to use a 1998 s 10 frame and chassis to start with. I've scrapped the s 1o just the frame and steering components. I've also started a 4.5" chop to the cab. Let me know what you guys think. Ideas are always greatly appreciated!

I actually have the whole build "planned out". Notice the quotes as I know plans can change frequently. Here's the basics, Im going to shorten the frame another 27" to make the wheel base approx 94"(I dont think it will look right with a box longer than 4ft). SBC with a M21 (my grandfather has an old chevy boneyard basically). Id like to use a 10 rear with BOLT in axles of course. I have a 350 rebuilt ready to go in but I have a 283 that needs rebuilt and would be kind of cool to use because most 283's are used in OE resto's. haven't made up my mind yet though.

Ill use the stock S10 front end for the time being, I will eventually build a mono leaf front end. I've lowere the frame an additional 3" fronr and rear also.

I'm hoping you mean 'transverse spring' front end - where there is one spring pack turned sideways. (A mono leaf is using a single leaf spring instead of a pack)

Reason I asked, the stock S10 suspension and engine placement make a fenderless rod look nose heavy.
