Where do you all go to get rid of old gas in your areas? We have once a year hazardous waste but I missed it this year. Thanks. Jim

My county has a transfer station in the little town 5 miles from here. They're only open 2 days a week but locals can take trash and chemicals like fuels and paints and such to safely discard. I usually save old fuel to clean parts with.

It'll still clean parts... If it's got ethanol in it, it may go bad as far running in a vehicle in a matter of weeks, use of rubber fuel lines doesn't help much either. the two together can cause some stupid stuff in a hurry as far as carbs go.

That 2 year old ethanol gas may not even be a fire hazard by now, it may not even burn. We dumped a bit (maybe a 1.5 foot diameter wet spot) of 4 year old stuff on the cement driveway during a transfer once, thinking it would be best to burn it off, we through a lit match on it, but the match went out! It wouldn't even catch on fire holding a lit torch flame to it!
