Yeah, life is crazy. I'm pretty sure one of my kids has something going every night of the week, plus work, plus building/fixing up my property, plus repairing my baler before hay season, plus maintaining cars and tractors, etc. etc...but I enjoy most of it!

I did that before I burned out :(

Glad to see your getting back on it.. Lots of guys start and never get them on the road.

I got mine on the road.. and then promptly put it up on jack stands where it has sat the last two years with life stuff like you mention taking priority house/ family... work .... that last part is the biggest time drain... lol

Its looking real good, keep at it

While waiting for brake and gas pedal to arrive I installed the alternator. I bought the retrofit kit from Alan Grove components. When the kit arrived I was frustrated because it was quite expensive for a few little pieces but after installing it I 'suppose it was worth it as it tucked in perfectly in my limited space. I also installed a v-belt pulley I got off feebay in place of the multi-groove that was on the junkyard alternator.

After fighting with brackets and making my own, I understand the reticence to pay a lot of money for them, but also understand how nice it is when something works exactly as advertised. That setup looks strong, as well as compact. Definitely "tucked in" and out of the way. [P[P

So, I'm still plugging away on this car. It has been over a year since I've posted but I have done quite a bit of work on her. Unfortunately I did not take many pictures but the entire chassis, axles, motor, tranny, are together. Gas tank is built, radiator is in, electric fan is in, throttle, brake pedal and half the brake lines installed as well as the gear shifter and steering column, gearbox and pitman(?) arm. I need to install the compressor and air lines and I'm halfway through the wiring process. I still needs lights, gauges, wheels and more sheet metal work on the cab. I did start the motor last month which was awesome. It is amazing how long all this "little" stuff takes but everything is so tight I really have to think about how it lays out cause every component affects every other component. I'll work on getting some updated pics. in the meantime I attached the only few pics I've taken lately.

Wow, time fly's! Pushing two years since I've posted. I was talking to a friend about my projects and decided I should update. I've continued to make slow progress on the car. Lots of work and it is getting close! Here is the battery holder I made.

Here are the headers I made. I wanted a "medusa" look. They are all equal length tubes. This was the first time I've made headers. I gas welded them.

And some wiring fun. The electrical tape is just for fitting. I soldered and heat shrunk all the joints.
