I have never seen so many cars and trucks that I would want to own, in one place, in my life. It was the Primer Nationals last year that got me jump started down this road.

There was just so much of everything I like. I skip most shows because rows of perfect 55 chevys just isnt real to me:eek:. Its for someone else. (Dont get me wrong, I love the 55 Chevy)

As many of you know I am a rooky when it comes to hotrods. Its all new to me. Today was a real learning experience for me. I am more solid in what I want to build and how it needs to show when its finished.

Things I learned- (for me)

Flatheads are COOL. Very, very cool.

SBC are everywhere and not too impressive. Cad, buick, olds, etc. all good

A "ratrod" built by a craftsman with safety and drivability in mind is a way better vehicle. (There was a whole bunch of cookie cutter sh__ boxes there)

Cant fail with detail. (The devil is in the details)

Paint is not a bad thing.... when its done and ready for paint. Not a critical path item. But I need to remember not to over do it.

Rockabilly music is good.

Some rockabilly babes are hot.

Did I mention flatheads are cool?

41-46 Chevy trucks are not real common. Only mine and one other.

I didnt take too many photos, but made sure to take a few mostly to post here. If my legs didnt hurt so much I would go out to the truck and get the camera and download - just too comfortable in this chair. I will post soon.

Take it easy, Captian Moron. There is a special one in this group, just for you. Can you tell me which one it is?

My personal favorite in the "rat rod" dept.
Up close reveals some very nice detail and sound and solid construction.
Quarter elipticals at all 4 corners.

Sorry I missed you. I got there at 6 am but left at 10:30 am. Weather was cool, but the drive home was killer. Decided not to go the next day. Packing my car, I forgot my camera. Glad you posted pics.
