this is a grill started over the summer. it started out as a 1940 gmc truck grill, if youve ever seen one of these you know there huge! first pic is stock, second and third is dissassembled with sides cleaned up to where i will cut, and with t bar welded in for support, fourth is with top piece relocated from stock position to front edge. more to come. dp1

kool

thanks B.M., thats kinda of funny considering willys overland was right here in toledo and i never knew what a whippet was. thanks again! we finish'd the top of the grill and primed it, in the next photo's, only used a little filler the metal came out real smooth, kinda scarry. next comes the fake patina and pinstripes.

heres pics of the primed grill and some pinstripping getting done on the splash after i changed it to red metalflake.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what's the exhaust tubing in the middle for? Don't get me wrong, it looks cool, but I'm just wondering what's going in that hole?

its cool

its ok havent revealed it yet. its gonna be a front view camera. with the tunnel ram and chopped top i thought it would be cool to do a heads up display on the windshield of whats in front of you as you drive and park. but i may just put it on a hideaway screen in the dash too. havent decided what way to go with that yet. thanks dp1

finishing up

heres a few of the splash pinstriped and the shell with the fake patina done.
