Hello y'all, I'm Jared, I'm from Northern Wisconsin. As you may know rust is very common in my neck of the woods and not appreciated as much as it is here! My best friend (for 30+ yrs) and I have been car enthusiasts for..well sense we could walk! As kids we built scale models with every spare hour and dollar we had lol. We are Ford guys, truck guys and it pretty much started with my dad's '59 Ford F100. I have vague memories of it being on the rd but it was parked do to a bad front end and due to circumstances young kids don't worry them selves with, there it sat as our play house. We dreamt and planned on rebuilding, restoring and hot rodding it (rat rods where not excepted or as common back then) more times and ways then I could count.
When I was 14, Dad unexpectedly passed away in '97 before we had the chance to begin the trucks resurrection as planned but I kept the old Ford dispite hard times and offers on it,
So as life goes, fast forward lol, 20+ some yrs later, i still have the old ford, im a successful self employed artist (chainsaw carver) married, mortgage, 3 kids, 14-22 yrs.
old, but feel it's time to start a new chapter. Thanks to my previous mentioned best friend (and his 13 yr old son) and our combined love of old wood, cars, rust, old sh!t, cool sh!t and re purposing sh!t, it's time to get the the '59 out of the woods and back onto the dirt rds it use to roll down.
Over the past 6-7 months we've started on a business plan that includes rat rods but that's a story for another day.
I'm new to this kind of forum or any social medie for that matter haha, I look forward to getting advice, learning some tricks, seeing everyones projects and sharing my projects and maybe even giving advice (who know it could happen lol) to and with you all!
Thanks and keep it rusty!
ps, can't seem to get pics to attach so y'all will have to be patient
