Sacrificing one ride for the other!!

Well I have made the decision that I will be dismantiling my other truck to use the parts on my Rat Rod. I would rather drive my '63 Chevy rather than the '69. I have had the '63 since I was 16 and just have never really been able to part with it. Just wondering what you guys think.....Pictures of both are attached!!

The 69 looks pretty sharp, would it make more sense to sell it and use the money to build the 63?

Selling

I have been trying to sell it for about 4 or 5 months and have had no offers. I am asking $6,000 for it. Which is what I paid for it 5 years ago and it has a new engine and other new parts. Not really sure if I am asking too much or what. I am going to take it to a swap meet this weekend. Maybe I will have better luck then......

That '69 is very nice. I had a '72 Chevy C20 that I listed in the local truck trader. I went to Home Depot to pick up some rock salt. When I came out, there was a buyer for my truck. He had recognized it from the ad.

there have to be a few 60-66 trucks laying around you could salvage parts from. it looks as though you need front sheetmetal, i need a good bed. if you find a short box that has a straight bed i'll pay up to $200 if it helps you get the parts you need in return for the straight bed. let me know.

dont sacrafice the 69 that truck is way to straight to do that, hold on to it. parts for your 63 are not that pricey i would just hang in there and build the 63.

Well i am going to keep the '69 as my daily driver and start tearing down the '63 this weekend. Thank you guys for the advice. it helped me make my decision.

make sure you take pics of the tear down and build of the 63. and please start a thread about it in the builds section. and if you find a good donor with a good short bed, let me know. i'll help in anyway i can.
