Mass changed the rules

on hot rods, classics and home built s.They will register a home built if the engine and drive train is in specs with what was the law for that year car. plus all the regular safety stuff brakes, lights horn etc. That's what I gather when I read the new laws starting in April of this year, just keep all the bill of sales for engines etc.. Ill let you know when i try it.. hehehe

yes you are basicaly right

yes thats the way I read the laws but I dont have the complete written law, it seems better than what it was before. at least there is a way now.

The first thing this morning I got a wagon load of cut wood to bring over to my splitter area. The funny thing is when I got to the splitter I immediately started looking at my old Wheel barrow leaning against the stacked wood pile. The more I looked at it the more it looked like a radiator shell. I guess if it hadn't been upright when I saw it i would have missed its shape. Anyway what you will see in the next batch of photos is the start of my radiator shell. And it was free. I was going to replace it this year as the handles cost more now than a whole new Wheel Barrow. You used to be able to replace the handles for 12$ bucks, hmm not any more. Any way i liked the angles of the tub on the wheel barrow it fits my lines of the coupe. I have it all mocked up about the way I would want it. I tried many different scenarios with the 4 pieces, but always come back to the one that has the angle in the center with an opening that I have to fill. I had to section the tub 4 ways, to narrow and shortened the looks and fit. Enough blabbing tomorrow maybe I weld it if I still like what I see.

Won’t be the first time one of us have used an old wheel barrel on our builds, but I think it’s a first for the radiator shell. :D

No I will move it more forward closer to engine when its done its the same dimensions all through out , just easier to fit at the end here.

My drive shaft yoke arrived for the T9 tranny this will do away with all that crap the merkur had. But I still have to buy the spicer u joint and drive shaft piece to fit a new tube and the rear Mustang rear. ill go one step at a time this piece was hard to find for me im glad i got it. I welded and cut the wheel barrow radiator shell. I shortened and narrowed it some and angled the center out to give it some charm. I could only bring it forward 8 to 9 inches as the sway bar posed a problem and I don't want that exposed by putting the shell in front of it. So I will live with what I have, my brother in law liked the longer nose that I will end up with. Plus it will give me the room for the batteries etc. Nice part is I could always install a long six cylinder or a straight 8 engine , hahaha if ever. I will make brackets to hold it where it meeds to be as I would like to bolt it in rather than weld. I read some where 70 % of most dings are in the front of most cars. I will make bolt ons where I can. I still have a lot of work to get this shell ready much more pieces to go on it plus straightening and flatten the lip around the edge so I can weld sheet to it. And I have to re-cut the grill opening to get it straight once the brackets are on and bolted to the frame.I have some photos
