I got the piece of stainless steel and used it up it was just large enough all cut and fit. Ill wait before I weld anything as I want to fit the inside panels with 18 gauge steel and tack them to this piece. This stuff cut hard as I did it by hand snips. I have a few photos..

I don't see much warped but its only a floor you rest your feet on this not eat from it..eheheh

No warp that I can see

none as I can see my main body panels are just tacked lightly at first then completed later but they look ok . of course thats what body filler is for it dont rust , hahahaha

I have more time than Money

WOW! not sure what to say.......seems like a ton of fab time......
, I have more time than money all these little pieces are stronger than a single piece, if the sucker warps i will Un warp it with a large hammer

Well whoopie doo I doing tiny little operations to get this engine running this summer. Lots of changes from turbo, ECU's to a carb, and regular distributor with points. I need something I can fix on the road hopefully Waiting for an expensive tow truck and then high charges for diagnostic machines etc. There is no end to the amounts a garage can charge you for.. When you are stuck in their territory. I've been there its not cheap or fun... I installed the starter and started to set up the solenoid and wiring. But I think I want the battery in the front between the radiator and the engine down low I have plenty of room and I never liked opening the hood on a car and the 1st thing you see is a darn battery hanging off the fire wall corroding everything else near it.

Nibbling away at little things as I wait for my sheet metal. I have a photo of the space I want to hang my battery. In front of the engine and in between the radiator area low in the frame rails. Once i get the sway bar back in I can plan a spot for the battery. I usually always run with 2 battery’s something I've always done since the Racing days and the cold winters here in the NE.

I installed the sway bar and it looks like I will have 30 inches by 21 inches after I put in some frame work and a sheet of steel to cover the whole area for a platform. The mustang pressed steel frame has nice ridges along the length for attaching flat steel for a panel. This is what I will probably do once I figure out the total length and room for a radiator shell that I will have to make.
