I thought about that too..
We did it on a friends Mustang to convert it to 5 lug..
I just need to pull off a wheel and look at the flange to see if I can work with it

OK..
I finished tacking some headers together..
I did a quick trial fit yesterday on the way home from work, but had to trim them a bit..
I will try again at lunch.. Hope they fit this time :p

Blue; I'm having a problem starting my 350TPI. Could you by any chance tell me what wires you hooked up to start yours. I have the original harness all hooked to the engine. What wires did you hook up on the ECM to make it run. Did you have VATS on yours. I have it on mine. I think that's whats wrong. I don't have the key for it. I put in a new ignition, but I don't think it was for vats setup. Just something else to make a man feel like a dummy. Seem like I have a lot of those.

Vats is your problem if you do not have the original key, it will never start..
You either need a chip reprogramed or a new Module from painless to bypass it..

Go to Summitracing.com and look up part number PRF-64024, or PRF-64023
I'm not sure what one you'll need..

That will have to be your first step in getting it running.

I went to painless.com says there isn't one for a 89 IROC starts at 90. Do you think it will work. I don't want to change my chip if I don't have to mine is a stage 3.

OK...
Don't mind the all the wires right now,
I still have to run them But the headers fit :)
Check out the photos..
Fills it out nicely :)

I like those they look bada$$. I should have cut holes in the fender well on mine and ran headers like that on my truck, and not block hugers.

Headers look good.It looks like that you are going to have some real warm feet all the time. Are you going to turn them out or down? That seems to be real close to the floors.

I like how the headers match the tpi from the side view! looks cool!
will the radiator hoses interfere with the steering rods?

They will clear the floors with no problem...
the part that is going to be close is the ears coming off the frame that the body is mounted too..
Those are 3.5" collectors (even though I ordered 3") If I neck it down to 3" or maybe 2.5" it might fit OK...
I have solid motor mounts, so I don't need that much room...

I may put a heatshield down on the floor now that you mention it :p

Got the headers off so I can weld them up, but I did mount the grill and headlights finally.. :D

I don't think it's bad looking for an ugly VW front end ;)

It'll look better once the headers are back on
