Here's where it will sit until Fall. Taking its spot in the work area is the roadster pick up. Should be running in a month after wrapping up the slant 6 to sbc transplant. Got guys coming over to help me push it into the garage today. The computer decided to put the second picture first.

I'm going to need an engine for the truck. Got several bare blocks. I also have two rotating assemblies; a large journal 327 and a 350. Both are 0.030" overbore and ready to install. So I'm identifying the blocks to see which one will go to the machine shop. The rest will be sold or given away. I have a set of Vortec heads with a fresh valve job and a matching intake manifold. The goal is to have a reliable near stock 300 hp engine.

Love the old slots on so many things, but gotta roll with Smallfoot and say the spokes. Adds a little "classy unique touch being a tad different. (Super like the full height cab too!)

Almost lost a friend many years ago when one of his new spoke wheels broke while he was going down the highway. I'm sure they have corrected whatever caused my friends problem, but the Spokes would be a big NO for me. I cringe every time I see a car with them on it.

The 5 slots for sure!

I also like them both, but I lean a wee bit more toward the spokes, because the truck may have come with spokes but it wouldn't have come with slots.
Oh, Bob, you wanted us to make your decision easier, didn't you.

Thanks for the many responses, guys. I like them both. As I resume building late this fall, maybe the truck will decide. Or, I could have a set of each and swap them among my hot rods.
