I have been working on my t bucket that I bought as a pile of parts off and on for three years now. I am looking at building my own windshield...finally.

I just bought the brackets from speedway and now need to ask a few questions.

1) can I use 1/2 inch angle iron welded at 45"s in the corners for my frame?

2) I would like to use copper pipe for the windshield posts. Is this safe/ acceptable? I have no idea what kind of torq will placed on them while driving at highway speeds.

When time allows, I'll post up some pics in the builds section so you all can see what I have been working on.

I appreciate any advice you all can bless me with.:)

I wouldn't use copper, it's too soft. Here's a couple pics of a home made windshield frame and posts I made. The posts are made from 1/8" steel plate welded together into a box with some curves for style. The windshield frame is made from angle iron cut down and welded together to make a channel wide enough to slip the glass in. The top header bolts down to the sides of the frame at the corners and the sides of the frame are screwed into the posts.
